It could be safe to say that Jamie looks on the funny side of life and creates films bold in content and whimsical in tone with a distinct visual flare. That’s how he puts it. He likes his comedy big and bizarre. Making such office favourites as “Bowie the Teddy Bear Stuffer” - a documentary about a foreign Bowie impersonator who stuffs toys for a living – and “The F word” – Gordon Ramsey’s recipe for a night in alone with a curry paste sandwich. You need a special pass to watch that one. At the end of last year Jamie travelled to Uganda with the charity Tearfund. Apart from consuming vast amounts of partially cooked Goat meat, he and fellow director Giles Ripley self-shot a small series of documentaries. More recently, he has been to Norway for Canon and scaled the dizzy heights of the national portrait gallery to self-shoot a film for GE. This small film picked up a big thumbs up, winning AMV’s internal “Advert of the Month” award. Looking ahead, Jamie has many irons in the fire. Whatever he does, we have every confidence it will make us laugh. Was that a talking cow I just heard?
