Childhood deafness can often go undetected, with potentially dangerous results; as a consequence this film was commissioned by the RNID to raise awareness around the importance of children's hearing tests. Choosing to shoot from the perspective of an imaginative young child, director James Lawe's aim was to infuse the piece with a sense of vulnerability. This he achieved, and the final result was both a poignant and effective wake-up call to parents and carers everywhere.
